day 1; introduce yourself

I'm a Caitlin!
... you know, I've never actually known what toput into one of these boxes say to introduce myself.
I'm a little exciting, maybe - I earned my first dan black belt in Taekwondo. I've won a cooking contest. I speak (relatively fluent) French. I'm a poet, and a regular fiction writer.
I'm an actress, and a singer (I dance, too). When I was sixteen, I took a firefighting class at my local community college over the summer - and aced the class (also earning a wild land firefighting certification). I've been trained as a First Responder in the state of California.
I've semi-broken my back - but never any other bone. I'm a junior at college, training to be a teacher. I'm a Shakespeare fan.
I'm a nerd. Or a geek. Definitely a dork. All of the above.
... or something like that. That's my general "copy and paste" introduction that I use just about everywhere. But I guess, if I really had to give an in-depth introduction of myself...
I'm Caitlin. I'm twenty years old, attending my junior year at Saint Mary's College, in hopes of being a high school English teacher. I'm not sure if I'm going to be an embassy teacher or not, but I think I might do Teach for America for a number of years (oh my god tuition debt is going to kill me).
God I'm terrible at describing myself in any sort of detail. :/
5 foot 6, just the right weight for my age & height, "cute" and, I'd like to think, rather intelligent. I do well enough in school, with two jobs (late night on campus cafe from 9 pm to 1 am, Monday through Thursday; cooking a couple times a week for a local family), a full class schedule, and a couple of social activities (mostly clubs, a couple balls, a few random photo shoots, etc.).
I'm an English major (obviously), with an affinity for theater and creative writing. I write WAY more poetry than is healthy, and most of it about love in one form or another. I also write the occasional short story - I should write more - and somehow managed to sign myself up for NaNoWriMo, OH MY GOD. And I've started working on scripts. Yeah. >_>
Right. What else...
Er, I cosplay. Mostly for the photo shoots. xD And to hang out with friends. Plus, some of the costumes are so pretty!! And speaking of photo shoots - good God, I am such a vain little thing. I love having my picture taken. UGH.
I am actually incredibly shy. I can be loud and personable and chatty, but believe you me, I probably won't tell you anything of much importance to me. Unless you've known me for a while and I actually trust you. There are some 'big' things I don't hide, mostly because they helped make me who I am, and I won't hide those. Yeah.
I am starting to babble, even through type - actually I do that a lot. Babbling, that is. I just... start talking, and no one stops me. D:
